Clint Bowyer isn't planning to go drag racing, but certainly gives the experience a thumbs up review.
“We don’t have hot rods, these guys do,” Bowyer admitted after the burnout. With Bowyer looking on, a somewhat disheveled Kenny Wallace, his head "spinning" said, “It takes a special person to drive one of these.” Moments earlier, Wallace had launched in four-time world champion Jeggie Coughlin’s ride. The two NASCAR superstars took part in a special SPEED TV segment expected to air during the weekend of the inaugural NHRA Carolinas Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, NC. Both drivers did three burnouts under the direction of Coughlin [Wallace] and Connolly [Bowyer]. They even did a pair of launches.

This special project was the vision of SPEED TV producer JB Langley and facilitated by Jegs Director of Public Relations Scott Woodruff and fellow SPEED producer Anna Fleming.
“Everybody we talked to about this was excited,” Woodruff said. “I’d say without a doubt this produced a new found respect for drag racing. Hopefully the payback will be a chance for our drivers to drive a pair of their cars.”
