| FEEDBACK ARTICLE: THE IHRA COMMUNITY WEIGHS IN ON THE 2010 RACE FORMAT
As someone who has attended most of the IHRA events here (Edmonton), it appears I'll stay home from what will be in 2010, pretty much the same as a glorified Monster Truck 'show' and spend my money for plane tickets going to watch Pro Stock and Fuel Funny Car COMPETITIONS in Vegas & Seattle. IHRA, RIP. - Ron Pohl

| THE 1,000 FOOT ISSUE ONCE AGAIN Did anyone notice how NHRA killed all the Top Fuel and Funny Car speed and ET records? Never mind that the ¼ mile records also had 1000 ft times that are quicker than the new 1000 ft. records they suggest. Why didn’t they mention the 1000 ft numbers on the real record runs that went the full ¼ mile length and use those? Also, shouldn’t there be a “ * “next to a 1000 Ft. Track record? 1/8th mile records have their own listings. Look at the NHRA web sight for quickest speed and ET for Fuel cars on the drivers fan page. They replaced everything with 1000 ft numbers. For Tony “The Shoe” they are way off. If they want a record quickest run for that year, fine. Don’t pretend ¼ mile fuel racing never happened. When is NHRA going to use the opportunity to slow the fuel cars down as a way to make fuel racing more affordable? Instead they seem to be more interested in keeping the super teams happy because they have all their money tied up in the current engine configuration. The result seems to be that there are no new quality teams and some old teams can’t afford to be competitive, or even try. I believe this is the Driving Force keeping the 1000 Ft alive. No fan prefers that 50 years of records and tradition be thrown away and races cut short. Safety you say? The tires are the only thing affected by the last part of the race and the new tires work great everywhere else on the globe but a NHRA track. Personally if I had to choose between a 336 mph dragster with a chute, carbon brakes and a roll cage or a 200 mph motorcycle, Id take the dragster any day. The moral of the story is don’t go fast on a short track with a concrete wall at the end.

| FEEDBACK ARTICLE: BOBBY BENNETT: IS THIS FORCE’S UNPARDONABLE SIN?
Good for you!! I am so tired of all this BS about JF throwing the race for Robert Hight. And I'm tired of self-righteous Tony Pedregon whining about his million pesos. Poor Tony and his little team only funded by Quaker State. Oh wait a minute they're a pretty big company too. Like you said Force has done more to keep the pro categories of this sport alive than anyone in the past 25 years. I believe he did exactly what he needed to do for his team given the rules NHRA created for this increasingly stupid countdown. NHRA has always prided itself as better than NASCAR because everyone has to qualify for every race. Then they decide to mimic NASCAR and the countdown. Like it or not there have always been teams in motorsports and teams sometimes act like teams. And just to remind everyone - It ain't the middle east, it ain't health care- IT'S JUST A GAME!!! Get over it people. - David Thatcher

| SEPARATING THE OUTLAWS FROM THE LEGAL EAGLES
IN RESPONSE TO ROGER BURGESS LETTER
I absolutely agree with Roger Burgess. It seems in everyone's excitement for a new series that the differences betwen a legal 1/4 mile pro mod and an outlaw 1/8 mile race car become very blurred. I like the ADRL but it is outlaw and only 1/8 mile racing. Please make sure your readership understands the difference. If you do you would be the only publication to do so. Thanks for listening. - Bob Mencel

FEEDBACK ARTICLE: BAZE - HYPOCRISY ABOUNDS
I really do not claim to be an authority on peoples lives. Especially if I don't know them. This being said could there possibly be a bigger pair of lying back stabbing hypocrites in the sport than the pedrogon brothers. "small p" My only guess would be the producers at ESPN. Tony didn't mind getting all the benefits at JFR. - Mark F. Price

| FEEDBACK ARTICLE: UP FRONT: THE MESS THAT IS THE NATIONAL HOT ROD ASSOCIATION The problems at NHRA have nothing to do with the racers, it has everything to do with the two politicians at the top (Tom Compton and Graham Light) with no personal oars in water except for sucking large paychecks out of the organization and whatever else is being stuck in their back pockets. The sooner those two quit, or are forced out, the better for all of us that truly love drag racing. - Jason Bonham

| FEEDBACK ARTICLE: TONY PEDREGON - TALKING DIVERSITY If you are not an ethnic American it is hard for you to understand why Tony proudly made his comments. I'd like to comment on the person that brought up the "hyphens" among Americans. No Latino, person of African decent, Indian, Asian or persons of color came up with the "hyphens". Americans of African decent did not come up with the rule that says if you have 1% of African blood running through your veins that you are Black. Brush up on your American history and you find out where the "hyphens" and labels came from. - Marc A. Powe

| FEEDBACK ARTICLE: LET'S FIX A FLAWED COUNTDOWN
I think the NHRA did the right thing by going to the countdown. Every ball or hockey sport does the same thing its called the playoffs. I think all the winers need to shut up and play ball. If your the best you got to play your best down the stretch. - Tony Pezzino

FEEDBACK ARTICLE: AS WE SEE IT: THE ADRL AND ITS GROWING PAINS I have been going to drag races 45+ years NHRA, IHRA, ADRL and by far the ADRL is the BEST show around. NHRA and IHRA are doomed if they don't change there ways. Just look at the grandstands which sanctioning body has stanging room only (ADRL)at the races and which ones are 30%-40% full (NHRA IHRA). The Fans know why can't the other sanctioning bodys see it! - Tom Jordan
