A REPLACEMENT FOR LOST MAJOR NHRA SPONSOR WAITING IN THE WINGS?

The rumor mill has been working overtime since NHRA revealed series sponsor Coca-Cola had opted not to fulfill the contract which was to run through 2023. Then this item popped up on our Twitter feed. It sure would be a major positive in the midst of a 2020 which has been very unkind to the world.

One of the more interesting rumors floating around the NHRA sphere suggests there will be a prominent absence at the 2020 season opener in Pomona, Ca. Adding more fuel to the fire, Torrence isn't entered for the event yet per the official NHRA entry list.

RUMOR MILL - WARMING UP ELSEWHERE?

The traditional PRO test at Wild Horse Motorsports Park appears to be done at least for this season, or at least that's what is floating around the rumor mill. If the traditional preseason nitro warm-up moves locations, we hear the odds-on landing spot will be The Strip at Las Vegas, where the event was held in past years before it moved to Phoenix.
