Word has it the NHRA will release its 21-race schedule soon. In it will be a few surprises. The most significant surprise (or maybe not) will be the return of Route 66 Raceway with a June date. The Thunder Valley Nationals will reportedly move off its Father's Day weekend. We are told the Western Swing will return to its traditional routine of Denver to Seattle to Sonoma. Unfortunately, the Virginia Motorsports Park date will fall off of the schedule.
