Word has it the NHRA has issued a memo to the current Funny Car teams asking their opinions of safety as related to the laid back headers. A month or so ago, you will recall the NHRA capped the limit in which a team can angle their headers at 32-degrees. Following Cruz Pedregon's flying car performance, we are told the NHRA is considering adjusting this to a 40 to 45 degree angle. The key in this proposal is making Funny Cars more driveable now that some of the lower funded Funny Car teams are beginning to run this combination. Could it be 3.70s will have to wait for a while?
