CompetitionPlus.com has heard NHRA is close to announcing a 23rd race to their Camping World Championship Drag Racing Schedule. What we are told is the event will be held at a track rich in drag racing history and will fit into a slot of late-April. What we hear is this is not a track getting a second date, but instead a facility that should have had an event a long time ago getting a chance to shine on the big stage. As for Bristol, our sources on the inside tell us the only hold-up is finalizing the contract for Father's Day weekend.
