Sources indicate Mopar will be gathering up their SS/AH racers for a meeting on Thursday at Indy to discuss certain issues regarding the modifications being performed on the HEMI cylinder head. Over the past 12-16 months, certain engine builders have interpreted the rules much differently than what’s outlined in the NHRA Rule Book. Apparently these guys have machined the intake side of the head so much, they’re relocating the valve cover bolt holes. This has caused much controversy among the HEMI racers and heartburn with the NHRA Tech Dept. A full story is forthcoming.
