It was announced earlier this week that Rickie Smith would tune Pro Stock newcomer Rodger Brogdon in Pomona. Barely a day later, the statement was made this wasn't going to happen. If your head is still swimming after last year's Team Mopar Pro Stock - Maskin debacle, it might smart a little after this go-round. Brogdon leases motors from Enders Racing and it just so happens that Enders and Jerry Haas are partners on the team.

From the stories we heard, Haas balked at Smith's presence in their pits and threatened to end their partnership. Smith has already speculated that his working relationship with rival chassis builder Jerry Bickel is the source of the hard feelings. He had formerly campaigned Haas cars in a similar program.
