A source tells us that amongst the schedule changes planned for the 2010 one of the changes not mentioned on the rumor mill is the NHRA event at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa., could find a new home in October. Reportedly this was the word handed down to sponsors over the course of the weekend. The second Charlotte date (Replacing VMP) is expected to slip into the schedule close to the end of March. The revision of the western swing will reportedly begin in Seattle then move to Sonoma and finish up in Denver.Regardless of which direction the Western Swing travels, it won't be the same as the last few seasons.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: A source close to the situation tells CompetitionPlus.com that the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing schedule will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Confirming the belief that Charlotte will get their second date, a press conference is scheduled at zMax Dragway tomorrow afternoon.
