Sprawling multipurpose Heartland Park Topeka has been a Midwest favorite since
it opened in 1989, but its dragstrip has gained the majority of headlines. The
event, originally in the fall, has featured numerous record performances, the
most significant of which was the shattering of the four-second and 300-mph
barriers in Funny Car in 1993.

PMRA TORONTO RESULTS

The Pro Modified Racing Association season opener was an interesting event with
several firsts.
A record number of Pro Modifieds were entered for the first
race of the 2007 PMRA tour, held over the Victoria Day weekend racing at Toronto
Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario.

The top four qualifiers were taken
out in round one of eliminations.

The final round was between two US-based teams, each with
a Canadian engine building-program.

The race winner was the tenth different winner in as many
PMRA events since the series was started.

SATURDAY MATCH RACING - RADFORD, VA.

The largest car count in the history of three-year-old Motor Mile
Dragway in Radford, VA, made for some great racing in the track's Mean
16 event. The new format that splits the 16 qualifiers into a top and a
bottom half was a great hit among the competitors.

Because of the number of cars attempting to qualify for the 16
spots, track officials also added a third 8-car bracket as a
consolation race.
In addition to the Mean 16 and consolation races, Matt Hagan and Mike
Janis provided a best 2 out of 3 match race for the Saturday crowd.

PRO TOP OUTLAWS RECAP - KENTUCKY

Last weekend in London, Kentucky at the Bluegrass Nationals presented
by London Flyer Buggies Unlimited, the Pro Top Outlaws put on an unbelievable
show.  Over 20 cars turned out for the event and after 2 rounds of qualifying
the bump for the 16-car field was set at 4.19
seconds.

The bump for the Pro Top Outlaw class (the quickest 8
qualified cars) was just 4.08 seconds for the 1/8th mile event.
Brandon Booher picked up the number one spot with a pass of 3.90 at 183 MPH.  In
the first round, 6 of the 8 cars down the eighth mile ran sub 4-second passes
and Booher and Phil Esz both thundered down the track with 3.89 ETs.  The
exciting action continued throughout the race when Phil Esz (3.88) eventually
picked up the first win of the season by taking out Anthony Trauth (3.92) in the
final round.  With the win, Esz, last years PTO Champion, has taken the early
lead in 2007 points chase.

NHRA MIDWEST NATIONALS - SAME DAY COVERAGE

Previously held largely in the evening in late June to escape scorching
temperatures, the event contested in the shadow of the famed St. Louis arch at
multipurpose Gateway Int’l Raceway should benefit greatly from its new early May
date, when cooler temperatures should prevail.

NHRA SOUTHERN NATIONALS - SAME DAY COVERAGE

One of NHRA’s long-established
events — the race celebrated its 26th anniversary last season — this
long-running belle of the South has gained a reputation as one of the tougher
events on the tour to win. With summer just around the corner, warm temperatures
can turn the event into "Hotlanta."
