The following are the pre-entries received for the 8th annual CSR Eastern Spring Test Nationals presented by Torco's CompetitionPlus.com hosted by South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Ga.

FLU CAN'T STOP KORETSKY

K_Koretsky.jpgKenny Koretsky rolled out of bed Thursday and
pronounced himself fit for the beginning of the new 24-race NHRA POWERade Drag
Racing Series season that gets underway Feb. 7-10, at Pomona, Calif.

It’s a good thing, too, because he was scheduled to begin testing
at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Thursday.

Koretsky, of
Richboro, Pa., was bedridden for 11 days with flu-like symptoms.

“I feel a lot better now,” said the popular driver who also
answers to the nickname Captain Chaos.  “I couldn’t do anything, and that
was difficult for me because I’m always on the go. But I did lose 11 pounds, and
that made Eddie happy.  (Eddie Guarnaccia is the longtime crew chief on his
Nitro Fish/Indicom Electric Chevy Cobalt.)  He’s always after me to lose
weight. That’s not the way I wanted to do it, but we’ll take advantage of it.”
(Koretsky graciously refused to reveal his current weight.)

“We
were excited to get out of Pennsylvania and to Las Vegas for testing and the Pro
Stock Shootout Saturday. In my book there’s no better place for Captain Chaos to
start than in viva Las Vegas.”

STRONG FORCE TEST

force_news_lead.jpg
John Force wrapped up a sensational pre-season test
by pushing his Castrol GTX High Mileage Ford Mustang through the quarter mile
timers in 4.76 seconds at 327.66 miles per hour Thursday at Firebird
Raceway.

force_news_2.jpgIt was the quickest Funny Car run of the entire pre-season and it
sent the 58-year-old icon back to his Southern California base with considerably
more confidence than he had when he showed up at Firebird last Friday with a
new, unproven chassis and a body rebuilt in a four-month convalescence following
a crash last September 23rd in Texas.

After a 100-foot checkout run on Monday, Force was clocked in 4.782
seconds on just his second attempt.  He matched that performance on
Wednesday before dipping to 4.76 on his final run on Thursday.

PRUDHOMME, MCEWEN NAMED GRAND MARSHALLS

Two of drag racing’s greatest rivals, partners and friends – Don “the
Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “the Mongoose” McEwen – have been named Grand
Marshals for the upcoming March Meet (Mar. 7-9) at Auto Club Famoso
Raceway, outside of Bakersfield, Calif.

It’s no surprise that the March Meet, nostalgia drag racing’s premier
event – and celebrating its 50th year of racing – is honoring Prudhomme
and McEwen. “Both are former March Meet winners and part our rich
racing lore and drag racing history,” said Blake Bowser, vice president
and general manager of the Kern County Racing Association, operators of
Auto Club Famoso and producers of the March Meet. “It’s an unbelievable
honor to have them here as Grand Marshals. What a treat for the fans.”

“The March Meet really means a lot to me,” said Prudhomme, who was
named the No. 3 driver on the NHRA’s top 50 drivers list. “The 1962
Smokers March Meet was my first race driving a fuel car for Kent Fuller
and Dave Zueschel. It was THE race to win back then and I still have my
March Meet trophy, which is one of my most prized possessions. Winning
that race really kick-started my driving career, so to go from an
unknown racer back then to being named a Grand Marshal this year along
with Tom McEwen is something that I never thought would happen. But
then again, Grand Marshals are usually old, so I guess it makes sense!”

NHRA ON CANADIAN TV

For the seventh consecutive year, NHRA has announced that TSN, the
all-sports TV network in Canada, will televise all 24 events in the
2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, dedicating nearly 60 hours of
programming to NHRA, the fastest and most exciting motorsport in the
world.

Highlighting TSN’s 24-event, 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series telecast schedule will be coverage of the final round of eliminations.

The season begins with the 48th annual CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals from the fabled Auto Club Raceway at Pomona in Southern California and stretches the entire season, concluding with the 44th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals, also at the historic quarter-mile track in Pomona, Calif.  The coverage also includes programming from the world’s largest and most prestigious drag racing event, the 54th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals from O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis.

BENCH RACE WINTER NATIONALS RAISES FUNDS FOR JEG'S FOUNDATION

The  fourth annual Mr. Aruba's Bench Race Winter Nationals in Ostrander, Ohio,
raised  $2,800 for the JEGS Foundation's Racing for Cancer Research program.
Held by  sportsman racer Mike "Mr. Aruba" DeChicco and Dr. Jane Graebner, the
event  contested a Gambler's Race, a "Pink's" style eliminator, and a 50/50
raffle  drawing on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Ostrander International Raceway
Park.

Aside from the money raised by entry fees, various auctions, and
refreshments, several drivers decided to donate all or part of their winnings to
the JEGS Foundation. Overall winner Doug Thompson and runner-up Durina McCarty
both gave back $300 each. Mike Harbolt returned $149 from his 50/50 winnings,
while Deon Bressler of D&D Automotive and Doug Duell of Evansville Chrysler
decided to donate $100 apiece to the cause. Gary Bumgarner of Auto Kolor of
Columbus helped with generous donations that were used as door prizes.

NHRA ON ARMED FORCES NETWORK

NHRA has announced the continuation of
its relationship with the American Forces Network (AFN) to deliver the
unique sights and sounds of NHRA POWERade Drag Racing to their overseas
audience.

“We are excited to offer the 2008
season of National Hot Rod Association races to our service men and
women and their families across the globe,” said Jeff White, Executive
Director of the Defense Media Center, American Forces Network.  “We
schedule the most popular sports on AFN and we thank the NHRA for
extending this opportunity to our troops and their families stationed
worldwide.”

HD PARTNERS VOTE NO-GO

NHRA has been notified by HD Partners Acquisition Corporation (“HD
Partners”(AMEX: HDP, HDP-U, HDP-WT) that it did not receive the
necessary number of votes to finalize the transaction announced last
May to acquire all of NHRA’s professional racing assets.

Said Eddy Hartenstein, chairman and chief executive officer of HD
Partners: “We are very disappointed with today’s vote, given our
collective enthusiasm for NHRA and the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
Series.  Unfortunately, in the time since we first announced this
transaction in May of 2007, we have witnessed a dramatic shift in both
the financial markets and the perceived strength of the U.S. economy,
which we believe adversely impacted the final outcome of this
transaction.  With that said, we continue to believe that the NHRA and
the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, led by Tom Compton and his
management team, are very vibrant properties with a bright future.  We
wish them all the best for continued success.”

LARRY MORGAN - FARMING HORSEPOWER

It’s not the Ponderosa, but Larry
Morgan is justifiably proud of his 76 acres in Newark, Ohio.  There’s a farm on the spread, one that grows
corn and soy beans, and several other buildings where horsepower is the marketable
commodity. Make no mistake, Morgan is neither farmer or country hayseed.

Morgan is one of NHRA’s most
respected Pro Stock engine builders and horsepower is the focus of attention on
his acreage.  As for the farm, he leases
that to a local.

Morgan builds Mopar motors – horsepower-laden,
victory-enticing power plants built to withstand the test of high revolutions
and severe internal stress, all in less than seven seconds.  It’s a daunting task many have attempted but
few have mastered.

He leases those motors to fellow
Dodge drivers V Gaines, Johnny Gray, Max Naylor and newcomer Vinnie Deceglie,
besides bolting one in his own Dodge.

TODAY'S HD PARNTERS MEETING

The HDP Board of Directors, as
required in SPAC transactions, approved of the proposed acquisition of NHRA’s
professional drag racing assets on May 29th, 2006. The required
proxy solicitation statement became effective on December 24th,
2006. The next step in the acquisition process, in accordance with Delaware law, as stated
in the HDP certificate of incorporation, and in accordance with SPAC procedure,
is to hold a Special Meeting of HDP stockholders to vote on several issues
related to this proposed acquisition. The meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM on
January 31st at the law offices of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles.
