Preparation continues at Virginia Motorsports Park in advance of the NHRA's return to the Richmond, Va., area  for the NHRA Virginia Nationals, June 8-10.

NHRA announced the return to the facility in January filling an opening created by the cancellation of the event in Englishtown, N.J. 

VMP owner Tommy Franklin moved forward with a resurfacing project in February, completely replacing the surface at from the water box to the quarter-mile with wall-to-wall concrete.
