UPDATED: TEXAS AIRPORT DRAG RACE ENDS IN TRAGEDY

A third victim has succumbed to her injuries sustained at the Airport Wars 2 event outside of San Antonio, Texas.

On Wednesday, the newest fatality, a 49-year old female identified as Rebecca Cedillo, died in a San Antonio hospital. She joins two boys, ages 6 and 8, and victims of the accident where a driver lost control of his race car and careened into spectators lining the shutdown area at the Kerrville-Kerr County Airport.

Tragedy struck at a Texas no-prep race, the Airport Wars 2 event, when a race car veered off the track, killing two children and injuring eight others.

The accident occurred at a temporary track at Kerrville Aviation at the Kerrville-Kerr County Airport, a facility located outside of San Antonio, Tex. 

The children who died were six and eight years old. At least two of the eight were listed by NBC News as being in critical condition. The drag racer was reported to be in stable condition. Two of the victims were treated and released at the scene. 

Apparently, according to eyewitnesses at the scene, the car lost control and drove unimpeded into the spectators who were located at the finish line.
