TASCA RACING TO COMPETE IN THE ROUTE 66 NHRA NATIONALS

Bob Tasca III and his AutoAlert Ford Shelby Mustang will be representing Tasca Racing in the Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Joliet, IL from July 8-10 as part of the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

One of the owners of AutoAlert (as well as an NHRA fan) is Steve Young, former NFL quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers and Pro Football Hall of Famer.

When asked about AutoAlert’s sponsorship of Tasca Racing, Bob said that “Growing up as a kid Steve was a hero of mine. When we announced our sponsorship I told him ‘I rooted for you every Sunday, now you get to root for me!’ It’s going to be a lot of fun.

“We have been using AutoAlert’s product within our organization for many years. It’s exciting for me to be able to bring a new sponsor to the sport. Drag racing is a great platform for AutoAlert to engage their customer base and build brand awareness by leveraging one of the fastest cars on the planet.”

As for AutoAlert - they’re equally as enthusiastic to be a sponsor of one of the most well-known Funny Car racing teams within the past 12 years.

AutoAlert CEO Mike Dullea commented, “We’re proud to sponsor a great racing team with such a rich history of focusing on performance, heritage, and shining a positive light on the automotive industry as a whole. Beginning with Bob Tasca, Sr., who successfully ran the family Ford business and went on to found Tasca racing, the history of this team is steeped in dedication to family, customers, and fans.”

With his team’s confidence running high after making four of the quickest runs of his career in Epping, NH Tasca is looking to build on that performance.

Bob Tasca III says, “When we ran 3.985 – 310mph right out of the gate in Epping, NH I knew we were going to have a great weekend. After four more runs in the 3’s we made a statement that our team can and will run with the best of the class. Running a part-time schedule can make it difficult to catch your stride but, after our performance in Epping, I believe we have as good a chance to win in Chicago as anyone else.”
