Seth Angel said he's already fielded nine calls this morning.

Angel, Royal Purple Raceway's General Manager, said his answer is still the same, "We have not been sold, nor are we for sale."

"No truth to it, we are not going anywhere," he added.

Angel said he's used to the rumor which he said makes its way around the community at least three times a year. He believes there are those who draw conclusions based on the development going on around the Baytown, Texas-based facility. Besides, he hasn't even been approached by anyone to purchase the facility.

"Assumptions just get made, that kind of news certainly isn't coming from us," Angel explained. "We have a long-term contract with NHRA and this is where we plan to stay."
