PRO WINTER WARM-UP CLOSED TO PUBLIC, LIVESTREAM WILL BE AVAILABLE

Closing annual PRO Winter Warm-up to the public was a difficult, but necessary call for officials at Wild Horse Motorsports Park located outside of Phoenix, Az.

Track spokesperson Jeff Wolf confirmed this in a letter delivered to ticket-holders and those on the track's mailing list.

"It was a difficult decision but had to be made to help ensure this year’s 35th annual Magic Dry Organic Absorbent NHRA Arizona Nationals will be the best Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event since the first one in 1985," the letter conveyed. "While the stars of nitro and their crews need to focus in the pits for their most important test of the year, your Motorsports Park team will have equipment racing around the pits and grandstand areas working to get our facility as perfect as possible for your upcoming Feb. 22-24 Magic Dry NHRA Arizona Nationals.

"It just won’t be safe for our racing friends roaming freely around the facility between sporadic bursts of 11,000-horsepower runs."

Race fans will not be totally shut out of the event, however.

CompetitionPlus.com., through its CompetitionPlus.tv property, will provide a free live-streaming event broadcast through its popular You Tube channel.

"Shortly after this year’s Magic Dry Arizona Nationals, Motorsports Park leadership will work with the Professional Racer Owners Organization and NHRA to allow the greatest fans in motorsports to attend part of the 2020 Winter Test – no promises, but we’re going to try," the letter read.
