PRO STOCKER SHANE GRAY TO SALUTE VALVOLINE AT U.S. NATIONALS

Pro Stock ace Shane Gray will sport a special paint scheme at this weekend's 62nd annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals to commemorate 150 years of Valvoline and highlight their Max Life products.

"Valvoline has been a great partner and supporter of ours, and we wanted to do something nice to show them how proud we are to wear their colors," Gray said. "I called my buddy Sean Cain at Blackbeard and he designed this paint scheme for us, and we all think it looks fantastic.

"Hopefully, having Max Life on the hood will be the final good-luck charm we need to get to the winner's circle this year. We've made a ton of strides in the right direction this summer, and it sure feels like we're a win waiting to happen. One of our engine customers, Drew Skillman, won the last race, so we know we got the power. It's time to get it done."

In preparation for Indy, the sport's biggest and longest-running national event, Gray and crew tested extensively last week at their home track in Charlotte.

"We continue to find little things here and there that make us faster, and the Charlotte test went really well," Gray said. "I'll tell you, if this new paint scheme helps us get to the winner's circle, we may just keep it on there full-time."
