PHOTO REVIEW: THE BIG GO BLOCK PARTY IS BIG SUCCESS

The stars of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series were in the spotlight during the Big Go Block Party on Aug. 25, as the town of Brownsburg celebrated the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals. The free event was held at the Brownsburg town hall and hosted by the Town of Brownsburg, NHRA, Lucas Oil Raceway, Don Schumacher Racing and John Force Racing, and featured family activities, entertainment and concessions.

Numerous drivers in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series also participated in an autograph session.

It was a hands-on affair Tuesday night at Brownsburg Town Hall, especially for the younger set.

 Even longtime race fans got to experience what it's like to sit in the cockpit of a Top Fuel dragster. This gentleman slipped into Richie Crampton’s Lucas Oil Dragster, which was the most recent winner on the Mello Yellow tour, at Brainerd, Minn.
Andrew Hines (standing) and Eddie Krawiec represented Vance & Hines and Harley-Davidson, as drivers greeted the public and signed autographs.
Cruz Pedregon meets the fans, along with stylishly dressed daughter Riyadh and her doll friend. Joining him were Larry Dixon, Tony Schumacher, Tommy Johnson, Matt Hagan, and Jack Beckman.
 Courtney Force, driver of the Traxxas Chevy Funny Car, proved to be a popular role model for the young ladies. Top Fuel racer Leah Pritchett was on hand to show the girls they could choose a dragster, too.
Tony Pedregon's snazzy Tommy Ivo tribute car drew a lot of attention.
