NHRA TO ANNOUNCE NEW SERIES SPONSOR ON SUNDAY?
NHRA may very well have a new series sponsor as early as Sunday. At least this is what rumors and the Twitter-sphere suggest.
Shortly after NHRA announced Coca-Cola had decided not to fulfill their contract, tweets began to materialize from Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis, suggesting he'd be interested in the NHRA series.
Saturday, in what could very well be an intended leak, AP reporter Jenna Fryer conveyed in a tweet, the Camping World sponsorship was a done deal. Adding fuel to the speculation, Lemonius retweeted the "leak."
Rumors are the commitment will be close, if not more than the one Coke walked away from.
#NHRA is expected to announce new title sponsorship with Camping World tomorrow. Deal came together over 2 weeks after Mello Yellow ended its partnership and @marcuslemonis took note on Twitter. Relationship began then.
