NHRA ADJUSTS RULES FOR TWO OF THREE PRO MOD POWER ADDER COMBINATIONS

NHRA announced on Wed. January 11, 2017, adjustments to Pro Modified parity by adjusting two of the three power adders' combinations.

"Based on performance numbers from the 2016 NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Racing Series season, the NHRA Technical Department is decreasing the minimum weight of the Nitrous assisted entries by 25 pounds," a posting on NHRARacer.com confirmed. "The new allowable minimum weight for Nitrous assisted entries will be limited to a minimum of 2,450 pounds. Additionally, maximum supercharger overdrive will be increased from 14.55 to 20.00 for Supercharged entries. These rule changes will go into effect immediately."
