MARTINOS RECEIVE HONOR FROM CITY OF YOUNGSTOWN

This past Wednesday evening, Top Dragster competitors Tom and Ryan Martino (Martino Motorsports) were present at Youngstown City Hall for the unveiling of the newest addition to the city of Youngstown’s famed streets, a Welcome to Youngstown sign dedicated in their names.

“Having the sign erected feels like having a star put down on Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles, California.  Our city has a deep-rooted tradition of producing championship athletes and sports teams, many of which helped put our city in the world-wide spotlight on numerous occasions.  We’ve been a part of this formula since the 1970s.  It’s great to be recognized for our accomplishments with the welcome to Youngstown sign,” said Ryan Martino.

The Martinos’ welcome to Youngstown sign will be displayed on the northbound lane of Market Street (Rt. 7) heading into the City of Youngstown, one of the heaviest traveled roads in Youngstown, Ohio.

“Words can’t express how thankful we are to Mayor John McNally; City Council Members Janet Tarpley, Michael Ray, John Swierz, Annie Gillam, T.J. Rodgers, L. Nathaniel Pinkard, and Paul Drennen; and President of City Council Charles Sammarone for the great honor.  We’ve had the pleasure of traveling across the United States in every way, shape, and form you could ever imagine to race over the years, and we can honestly say there’s no place we’d rather call home than our proud hometown of Youngstown, Ohio,”said Tom Martino.
