JIM DUNN RACING TO UNVEIL NEW OBERTO LOGO ON FC

Oberto is announcing the most significant innovation in the company’s history in a most unique manner. The brand, once delivered around the Seattle area by Art Oberto on his bicycle, will reveal the new Oberto Specialty Meats logo on the hood of the 10,0000 horsepower Jim Dunn Racing Funny Car July 31st at Pacific Raceways during the NHRA national event.  “This fall we will launch a broad range of delicious new products, new packaging to celebrate our Seattle heritage, and improved products from our core business,” said Stephen Oberto, Vice President of Marketing and fourth generation Oberto. “Furthermore, we will be expanding our portfolio to include charcuterie and sausages, the same specialty meats our company was built on 101 years ago.”

Jim Dunn Racing has been a leader in the sport of NHRA drag racing for more than 50 years.  The team’s car that will boast the new Oberto Specialty Meats logo is driven by Jim Campbell and owned by Hall of Fame crew chief, and former driver Jim Dunn.   A fan of innovation and fun, it only seemed natural to the folks at Oberto to kick off their “The Taste That Brings You Back” campaign with a vehicle that will be rushing forward at 300 MPH.  The fresh sausages will be headlined by the delicious Oberto Hot Link that will be available this fall at Seahawks games in 7-branded concession stands at CenturyLink Field. The sausages will also be found in local stores throughout the Seattle market, tagged with bright green stickers proclaiming, “Official Partner of The Seattle Seahawks”.

In addition to fresh hardwood smoked sausages, Oberto is going back 5,439 miles to Felino, Italy and the roots of its founder Constantino Oberto, to bring to the U.S. authentic Italian charcuterie. Produced, sliced and packaged entirely in Italy, the prosciutto, salame, and Italian cheeses will rival the finest deli offerings.  But this heritage-inspired transformation for Oberto goes well beyond the introduction of hot links and charcuterie. Coming in October, Oberto Original Beef Jerky will be enhanced with a more tender texture and boasting less sugar while still promising no artificial ingredients.   Soon new Oberto Smoked Sausages that are smoked an incredible six times and slow-dried for five days to provide unparalleled taste will be available across Seattle.  To go with the new products and new cooking processes, Oberto is also introducing new packaging that highlights the company’s commitment to quality and flavor and pays homage to its 101-year heritage. Featured is a black and white photo of the company’s founder taken in 1922 as well as a refreshed logo that’s coupled with a pair of meat cleavers, the words, “Since 1918” and the designation, “Specialty Meats.”

The new graphics on the Jim Dunn Racing Funny Car will be in competition as the team competes in the Seattle market on the weekend of August 2-4, 2019.  Fans can follow the Funny Car team on Facebook at @JimDunnRacing, and watch Fox Sports broadcasts throughout the race weekend.
