Lescure Company, based in Concord, California, brings neighboring sponsorship to the Jim Dunn Racing Oberto Funny Car team during this weekend’s NHRA national event at Sonoma Raceway.  Mechanical systems specialists, Lescure provides project assistance from concept all the way through to construction and management services.  The business has been around for 71 years, and involved in drag racing for a third of that time.

Lescure has partnered with Jim Dunn Racing for nearly a decade and will be the team’s primary sponsor, July 27-29, in Sonoma.  Two additional long time northern California supporters, ALO Drink of San Francisco, and Wiley X Sunglasses of Livermore will have increased presence with the team’s Nitro Funny Car as well. 

In addition to their support of Jim Dunn Racing and their interests in drag racing, Lescure is currently completing a project for the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) in the bay area, as well as the Santa Clara water reclamation project.  The WETA project is focusing on ferry terminals necessary for disaster relief, while the water reclamation project is saving 85% of the area’s daily water usage and then reusing it for farming and other hydration needs in that community.
