JIM DUNN RACING BRINGS LONGTIME AND NEW BRAND TO CHICAGO

Jim Dunn Racing will have colorful new graphics on their Dodge Charger Funny Car in Joliet, Illinois for the NHRA Route 66 Nationals.  Retailer Menards, and east coast transportation leader, DiPinto International Logistics, will be prominently featured as co-primary sponsors.  The racing team will be promoting  Bauducco’s Mini Panettone bread that will be sold in all 300+ Menards stores later this season.  At the same time, the team is recognizing DiPinto International Logistics recent expansion into Port Newark.

Both sponsors have supported Jim Dunn Racing in recent years.  “We always appreciate having the Menards logo on our car, and are proud to introduce Bauducco and their popular products to the fans of NHRA drag racing,” said Jim Dunn Racing manager, Jon Dunn.  “Likewise, we’ve worked with DiPinto and have seen their business grow into an east coast transportation powerhouse.”  The familiar Cattleman’s Cut brand will return as primary sponsor of the Dunn’s Funny Car driven by Jim Campbell for the NHRA Western Swing in July.

Jim Dunn Racing sponsor, DiPinto International Logistics, signed multi-year programs with the port authority of New York and New Jersey, and expanded its warehouse operations in January 2019 to a new 138,000 square foot facility.  The newest location is in the heart of Port Newark, New Jersey, the second largest port in the United States.   The expanded location gives DiPinto an advantage to move more cargo, faster, and more efficiently for its current and future client base.  DiPinto’s objective with the new facility is to concentrate on cross dock cargo from containers to inland points in the Midwest faster than rail can move the cargo.  Manufacturers sending products to retailers like Menards can take advantage of faster transit times to distribution centers in order to get product on shelves for consumers   Overall, DiPinto’s expansion has brought them to 300,000 square feet of space, with a fleet of tractors, trailers, and a staff of nearly 50 full time employees.

The Funny Car team will begin qualifying rounds at the NHRA Route 66 Nationals on Friday afternoon, May 31.
