NHRA has named JEGS as the presenting sponsor for the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series portion of the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, Aug. 31-Sept. 5. The race is the seventh of 10 events for the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series in 2016.

The 2016 NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series is showcased in a 10-race schedule that includes stops at several NHRA national events across the country. Troy Coughlin, who raced to his two NHRA Pro Mod championships in 2012 and 2015, won the event in Englishtown, N.J., and Rickie Smith, another two-time world champ, raced to victories at the season-opener in Gainesville, Fla., and the third race of the season in Atlanta.  Jim Whiteley earned his first career victory at the event in Houston while Mike Castellana raced to his sixth career victory at Thunder Valley in Bristol, Tenn. At the most recent Pro Mod event in Norwalk, Ohio, Bill Glidden powered to his second career victory.
