ENDERS, BALDWIN TO CELEBRATE MCLEOD GIRLS WEEKEND IN VEGAS

McLeod Racing will be celebrating “Girls Weekend,” at the upcoming NHRA Toyota Nationals with two-time Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders and Top Alcohol Dragster pilot Krista Baldwin.

At the race – Oct. 27-29 – Enders and Baldwin will each have McLeod as their primary sponsors. Throughout the weekend, JEGS High Performance will be running a 10-percent discount for the entire McLeod Racing line, visit, www.jegs.com. McLeod Racing is the leader in driveline technology.

Enders, who won Pro Stock world championships in 2014-2015, will arrive in Las Vegas sixth in the points standings in her Elite Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro. Enders’ season has been highlighted by her win in Epping, N.H., and three runner-up finishes.

Beyond racing at The Strip, Enders’ Camaro also will be on display – with the McLeod colors – at the SEMA Show, which will be held Oct. 31-Nov. 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Enders car will be at the NHRA booth.

“Paul Lee and McLeod have been huge supporters of our group of female racers,” Erica Enders said. “It started with the 100 wins for females back in 2014 and has grown since then. McLeod’s support of Elite Motorsports through both of our world championships means the world to us and our program. I’m a firm believer that people and relationships you build, are the most important part of the puzzle.”

McLeod Racing has been a proud supporter of the Elite Motorsports program for the last four seasons.

“I’m excited to be part of Elite Motorsports this weekend and we always enjoy supporting Erica, Richard (Freeman), Jeg (Coughlin), and the entire Elite Motorsports team,” said Paul Lee, McLeod Racing president.

Lee was a driver himself in the sport of drag racing, most recently behind the wheel of the McLeod Racing/Kalitta Motorsports nitro Funny Car during the 2016 season.

After suffering a massive heart attack on Dec. 13, 2016, Lee retired from the sport as a driver in February of 2017.

As for Baldwin in Vegas, she will return to the seat of Anthony Dicero’s A/Fuel dragster.

“She (Krista) does an awesome job here at McLeod as our Creative Director, and has earned her way in NHRA,” Lee said. “McLeod is also proud to support her A/Fuel Dragster this weekend and as she continues her dreams in NHRA Drag Racing.”

Baldwin is upbeat about what she can accomplish in Vegas.

“It’s been a while since I have been in the seat, but I am ready,” Baldwin said. “It’s an honor to be a part of the McLeod Girls Weekend with Erica. It’s going to be a lot of fun and I hope to share the winner’s circle with her.”

Each year, NHRA’s Las Vegas Toyota Nationals is the McLeod “SEMA Show” kickoff weekend. After the race this weekend, McLeod Racing will be displaying all its current and new products to customers and the public at the SEMA show.
