The driver of the car which sped the wrong way down Jackson Dragway has been identified as Jerry Oliver.

Oliver was treated on the scene and airlifted to Memphis Regional One Health Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition according to the Jackson Sun newspaper.

Oliver faces charges of driving under the influence, eight counts of aggravated assault and open container.
