COMPULINK CONFIRMS TruSTART SET TO GO NATIONWIDE

Back in April, TruSTART was introduced to the sportsman racing world at the K&N Spring Fling Million race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The goal of TruSTART was to change the handicapped bracket racing world by awarding the win to the driver who red-lighted by the least in a double red situation. Following the Vegas event, TruSTART also was used at the Bristol (Tenn.) Spring Fling 5-Day May 17-22.

“This should have been done years ago,” said Bob Brockmeyer of Compulink. “So when Peter Biondo and Kyle Seipel wanted it implemented at their Spring Fling Events I was all for it. The current system, where the first driver goes red and it’s ‘race over’ is boring and unfair. Tracks have pre-ordered it and I’m excited to say it’s finally ready for nationwide release.”

After the Las Vegas and Bristol events, racers gave TruSTART rave reviews.

“Racers loved it! The fact that a -.001 RED is no longer losing to a -.025 RED is hard to argue with,” said Peter Biondo says. “As a racer myself, I typically don’t take too well to change but this just makes too much sense not to like it.”

The excitement spread through the racing community as TruSTART bred new life back into the handicapped racing world.

“TruSTART makes a handicapped bracket race more exciting,” said Seipel. “Under the current system when the first driver goes red in a handicapped start the race is over. With TruSTART, the excitement of the race from an announcers and fans perspective would not be over instantly. The Win-light will not be displayed until both drivers leave the starting line which extends the excitement.”

Brockmeyer said TruSTART is something that had been in the works since July of 2015, before making its debut in April.

With some help from Jeff Foster and extensive testing at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Brockmeyer has perfected TruSTART within his Compulink Timing Systems.

“All the reports were good (after the Las Vegas and Bristol) races and my phone start ring off the wall with race tracks that wanted TruSTART right then,” Brockmeyer said. “We have 35 race tracks that want it right now.”

'The concepts, design, and operations of TruSTART are both Patented and Trademarked by Compulink and Bracketraces.com.
