COMPETITIONPLUS READERS SELECT DRIVERS OF THE DECADE IN ARP POLL

 

The readers of CompetitionPlus.com have selected their drivers of the decade in the NHRA's Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

He hasn't raced in over a year, but that didn't deter CompetitionPlus.com readers from selecting Tony Schumacher as the driver of the decade, beating out Doug Kalitta by a 36-percent to 26 margin.

Schumacher scored 17 wins during the decades, as well as a championship in 2014.

The battle for the Funny Car driver of the decade came down to a match between John Force Racing teammates, and in the end, the President knocked off the man who signs the checks. Robert Hight downed John Force. 40-percent to 35.

Hight scored 37 national event wins in the 2010s, as well as two championships.

In Pro Stock, everyone was pretty much racing for second place as Erica Enders maintained the top spot from start to finish, ending the voting with a massive 53-percent share of the vote.

Enders won three NHRA championships on the strength of 25 national event victories.

A 33-percent majority voted Andrew Hines, rider for the Screamin' Eagle Harley Davidson team as the top Pro Stock Motorcycle competitor of the decade. Teammate Eddie Krawiec was second with a 23-percent share.

Hines won three championships in the decade and amassed 33 national event victories.
