CAMP, HALSEY, POWERS HEADLINE PDRA EAST COAST NATIONALS WINNERS

After Johnny Camp earned his first Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) victory at GALOT Motorsports Park last fall, the Penske/PRS Pro Boost presented by WS Construction racer earned his second victory in the series Saturday night at the East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech. 
 
Similarly, 2020 DragWars winners Jim Halsey (Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous) and Travis Davis (Drag 965 Pro Nitrous Motorcycle) kicked off the 2021 PDRA season with additional wins at GALOT. Chris Powers (Liberty’s Gears Extreme Pro Stock presented by AED Competition), Jimmy Pelcarsky ($hameless Racing Pro Outlaw 632) and Jesse Lambert (Drag 965 Pro Street) also picked up pro class victories at the East Coast Nationals. 
 
In the PDRA’s sportsman classes, the victories went to Tim Molnar in MagnaFuel Elite Top Sportsman presented by Tejas Borja, Michael White in Lucas Oil Elite Top Dragster, Ronnie Proctor in MagnaFuel Top Sportsman 32, and T.G. Paschal in Lucas Oil Top Dragster 48. Billy Lawrence drove his Strutmasters ’74 Chevy pickup to the Edelbrock Bracket Bash presented by COMP Cams win, defeating Michael Morton in the final round. 
 
Elizabeth Finamore scored the Coolshirt Systems Pro Jr. Dragster victory, running a 7.933 on a 7.90 dial-in in the final round, while Ethan Steding broke out with a 7.888 on his 7.90 dial-in. Alyssa Rabon, the defending world champion in Classic Graphix Top Jr. Dragster, started her title defense season with a win when she defeated Hunter Cunningham in a double-breakout final round. Rabon ran a 9.105 on a 9.11 dial-in next to Cunningham’s 9.11 on a 9.13 dial.
