A fire destroyed a secondary building at Jerry Bickel Race Cars on Saturday, March 4, 2017.

Lincoln County Firefighters were dispatched to Raceway Park Drive, South of Moscow Mills, Mo., for a building fire at Bickel's shop which housed several race cars, an RV, enclosed trailer, parts and equipment. The 4000-square foot building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

"We appreciate all the people who have reached out. We have gotten calls from over the world wanted to help," Bickel said. "We were planning to add to that building, so now we will build a whole new building. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers."

Police were first dispatched when a security system malfunctioned notifying police. The initial officer spotted the fire and contacted the Lincoln County Fire Department.

Video surveillance equipment revealed smoke first appeared at 10:15 AM, but seven minutes later the camera failed. Officials do not have an answer at this time the cause of the fire. Initial findings believe the building's electrical system could be the cause.
