BOOTH-HIGGS CONFIRMS NHRA RESIGNATION LETTER; DID NOT AUTHORIZE IT'S PUBLICATION

A year ago, NHRA touted the hiring of Kymberly Booth-Higgs to fill the role of producer for the FoxSports television last January. Today comes word of her resignation but not in the usual sense.

Booth-Higgs December resignation didn't come in the form of a press conference, press release or interview.

Her resignation was broadcast in a post on www.scribd.com.

The only problem with this is; Booth-Higgs didn't upload it, nor did she authorize it. This leaves an even larger question. If she didn't do it, then who did?

"It didn't come from me," Booth-Higgs confirmed. "And I didn't tell anyone to post it. But, this is my letter of resignation, I will confirm that."

Booth-Higgs' resignation letter left little to the imagination when citing her reasons.

"After a full season of unwavering efforts (efforts that were successful by many metrics), I can no longer continue in this capacity under this management structure," Booth-Higgs said in her Letter of Resignation. "I consider it a privilege to have worked with many of the talented people on this team and wish them the absolute best moving forward."

CompetitionPlus.com contacted the NHRA regarding this issue and while they did confirm the Booth-Higgs resignation declined to answer any other questions pertaining to the subject.

This is another major hit towards the NHRA's in-house production program since an anonymous letter was published on Deadspin.com citing labor issues with the Glendora, Ca.-based sanctioning body.

Interestingly enough, after investigation, the anonymous poster of Booth-Higgs letter of resignation also uploaded a copy of a legal document related to the NHRA - Labor Board dispute.
