BIG THINGS HAPPENING AT EDELBROCK

The Edelbrock booth was the center of attention Friday morning at the PRI Show as Don Barry, President and CEO of Edelbrock, joined with legendary engine builder Pat Musi in making a special announcement that drew dozens to the booth.

The announcement saw Edelbrock and Musi join forces in a unique and exciting collaborative effort that left the floor buzzing following the announcement.

Champion drag racer and legendary engine builder Pat Musi of Musi Racing Engines has been working with Edelbrock for nearly 20 years, developing high-horsepower nitrous oxide systems, EFI components, racing cylinder heads and complete crate engines in the Edelbrock line. For 2019, Edelbrock has enhanced its partnership with Musi Racing.

“Edelbrock has been on the sidelines to a degree in racing for a long time. We dabble in it, but we really are not prime in it. Now we are going to be prime in it,” Barry said. “We decided to partner with Pat, who is the best engine builder on the planet and we are going to work with him to do the product development. We will also have our own Edelbrock line of racing products as well.

“Edelbrock is opening a racing center in the east, which is the seat of racing in the U.S. Hot rodding is in California, racing is in the east. We have a factory in North Carolina so we are going to expand that factory to basically do machining for all of our parts, manifolds and cylinder heads, among other things. We make carburetors there now, but what we are taking to the next level is actually the porting. We’ve invested in this brand new porting equipment.

“Finally, we’ve opened a shop in Mooresville, N.C. and we are going to partner with Pat to commercialize a signature line of cylinder heads and crate engines as well.”
