The Australian Top Fuel Championship series have released details of their 2022-2023 season that includes an expanded seven-round series running from September 2022 to July 2023.
Three new tracks have been added to the program. 

Tailem Bend is home to a new purpose-built drag venue located in rural South Australia. 

Alice Springs Dragway in the Red Centre of Australia 1800 miles from Sydney, and Willowbank Raceway, Queensland that will host their first Top Fuel meeting since January 2021.

For the first time in the history of Australian Top Fuel the category will race in all mainland states and the Northern Territory.

“When we began we said we would get Top Fuel racing in front of more fans all over Australia in festival events that showcase these incredible nitro racing machines,” Said series founder Andy Lopez. “That’s what we’ve done and in season two were looking forward to other professional categories including Top Bike, Doorslammer, Pro Mod, Pro Stock and Pro Alcohol racing at any of our events that they choose”

Lopes also added that the series would remain “sanction neutral” and the races will simply align with each track’s choice of sanctioning body.

Round Six: Nitro Champs Sydney Dragway, NSW — May 5-6, 2023 

Round Seven: Darwin Super Cars Hidden Valley, NT — Date TBC
