This past weekend at the John Gates Memorial Race held at Barona Dragstrip in Lakeside, CA, the 2008 defending CIFCA Series Jam-Air_Launch.jpgChampions, Jam-Air Motorsports, led by driver Will Martin began their 2009 season by debuting a brand new 1969 Chevy Camaro RS Alcohol Funny Car and defeated Jamie Leppanen in the Arizona Thunder Firebird in the final. In testing on Friday night, the team shattered the Barona eighth-mile ET record with a 4.18 ET at over 162 MPH.

The new car made its debut carrying new primary & associate sponsors. In the off-season, the Jam-Air Motorsports team signed Multistack LLC as their primary sponsor. In addition the team was able to add Pro-Long Super Lubricants & Jackson’s Auto Parts as major associate sponsors, in addition to its existing sponsors DJ Safety, Pro Manufacturing, GS 610 Brake Products, Photomation & Lenco Racing Transmissions.

“I couldn’t be any happier than I am right now. The team worked their tails off to mount, tin, paint, anodize, and letter this brand new body in 15 days. Then to come out and debut it without any testing and break the Barona Dragstrip ET & MPH records, en route to winning the season opener was pretty amazing. We wouldn’t be here without the support of our great Sponsors: Multistack, Pro Long, Jackson’s Auto Parts, DJ Safety, & Pro Manufacturing” said Jam-Air Motorsports founder John Martin.
