There was a scary moment during the first round of Outlaw 10.5 eliminations when No. 11 qualifier Jamie Sarver, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, lost control of his '94 Mustang at half track. Sarver, who was running in the left lane, crossed behind opponent Greg Trotta and collected the right-side guard wall. The car then spun back across the track and came to rest against the left-side wall. Sarver was unhurt in the incident.
