Mick Snyder and the Snyder Motorsports Top Alcohol Funny Car Team is gearing up for the 2008 season and they are proud to announce that Lucas Oil, Jeg’s, The Winning Team and Spitzer Enterprises will be on board.  In what has been a whirlwind off-season full of surprises, the Team has been busy trying to prepare for what they hope will be their most successful season yet.

Since entering the Top Alcohol Funny Car class full time in 2004, the Team has earned 3 Division 3 Top Alcohol Funny Car Championships and 3 Top 10 finishes.  In an up and down season last year, the Team finished 2nd in the Division 3 championship chase and earned its 3rd straight Spitzer Low Qualifier Series Championship.

“We are so excited for the new season.  For the first time since I started racing TAFC, I am going to have a car that is made specifically for me.  Mike and Karen, Brent and the rest of the guys at Spitzer Enterprises have fabricated cars for me since I was back in Jr. Drag Racing.  They have watched my sister and I grow up and are like family to us; it will be great to be back in one of their cars this year,” said Snyder.

“There are no two companies that do more to help sportsman drag racing than Lucas Oil and Jeg’s and we are proud to say that each will support us in an associate roll this year.  We are looking forward to the day that we can put each of them in the winner’s circle.  And we have also been able to get some help from The Winning Team, who make some of the best crew shirts in the business.  They have a great company and we are excited that they have chosen our Team to represent them in 2008.”

With the new season just around the corner, the Team continues to prepare for what lies ahead.  There will be other announcements coming soon along with new renderings of the brand new Ford Mustang funny car.
