Torco Race Fuels owner Evan Knoll has commissioned SINFUEL Choppers to build a
custom chopper in remembrance of those members of the U.S. Military POW-MIA and
their families as well as the veterans past and present. To honor them, Knoll
has committed to a year-long raffle of the bike and will donate 100% of the
proceeds to the National League of POW-MIA Families and select veterans
groups.
Knoll has been an advocate for the veterans and donated sponsorship of the
Top Fuel dragster driven by Melanie Troxel in 2007 as a tribute to POW-MIAs and
Vietnam Veterans as well as those who have served in the U.S. Military. He’s
also partnered with Ken Black on a Top Fuel dragster that honored our current
deployed military and their families.
Knoll has also committed 100% of the proceeds from souvenir sales related
to the veteran cars to veterans groups.
“I am honored to be a part of such a worthwhile project,” Knoll said. “You
think about all the great freedoms we enjoy in this lifetime and then you look
at our brave soldiers and their families, and it’s the least we can do for them.
“Dan and Deecan have created a bad-to-the-bone bike and I urge the racing
community to help us in supporting this incredible cause.”

Dan King, and his son Deecan, founded SINFUEL Choppers in 2000. The company
evolved from a simple chopper restoration to a full custom shop today.
“We started with a couple of kit bikes at first,” said King. “That was
about the time the other chopper companies like Orange County Choppers and Jesse
James were coming out on television. We felt we could do our own bikes and have
an original look.”
King first met Knoll through the popular networking website MySpace.com.
The two enjoyed several months of communicating almost exclusive through the
website.
“I had heard all about the MySpace.com stuff and decided to get on and try
it out,” King said. “I built a website and got a couple of friends. Then one day
I checked it out and Evan saw one of my bikes on there and left a message for me
that read, ‘That is one bad bike, we gotta talk.”
King said that he and Knoll banted the idea of a tribute bike for the
veterans for six months. At first, King didn’t piece together that Knoll was the
same individual who has become one of drag racing’s largest sponsors.
“You see someone the magnitude of Evan Knoll and you are inspired to join
him,” King said. “He is a man that has done so much for so many that we are
honored to be involved with him. Once you meet Evan Knoll, you know immediately
that he’s a special person.”
Bobby Bennett, Publisher of Torco’s CompetitionPlus.com, has been
instrumental in administrating Knoll’s veteran programs. He said the program
with SINFUEL choppers is a total positive experience.
“I see the look of gratitude in the eyes of these veterans and then I see
people like Evan Knoll and Dan King out here honoring these brave soldiers, it
makes me proud to be an American,” Bennett said. “This is about giving back and
when it comes to honoring our military, Evan and Dan have done something great
with this bike.”
The raffle will soon be announced on www.torco.com.
