KENNY BERNSTEIN ANNOUNCES MONSTER FUNNY CAR BODY

Kenny Bernstein, who surprised the motor sports media at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals by announcing his 2007 comeback in a Monster Funny Car, today confirmed that he will campaign a Dodge Charger body by Mopar.

“We are pleased to be associated with Mopar in this endeavor,” said Bernstein.  “The Dodge Charger body has proven to be very competitive, and of course, we’re looking to assemble a championship-caliber operation.  Mopar has committed to work hand-in-hand with us to try to accomplish that goal.”

“Mopar is pleased to have an opportunity to work with a world-class racing organization such as Kenny Bernstein Racing,” said Kevin Miller, Senior Manager, Mopar Brand Performance and Motor Sports.  “The race drivers that compete under the Mopar banner are among the best in the business.  Kenny’s position of leadership in the motor sports industry goes hand in hand with Mopar’s success in the sport.  We are excited in building a partnership with Monster Energy’s entrance into NHRA Drag Racing and their Funny Car effort.”

The Funny Car chassis will be manufactured by Murf McKinney.

Bernstein expects to take delivery of the Funny Car body and chassis in November.
