Series director Matthew Brammer said, "We started the season with the understanding that once we got a baseline, we would look at making adjustments to the rules to improve or inhibit the performance. These rule changes are aimed at improving performance while not allowing turbos - or any power plant - to run away.

"Drivers must understand that we can and will make any changes necessary to maintain competition," he said.

Changes are effective immediately and will be implemented beginning the NHRA Mac Tools US Nationals in Indianapolis.
