have something huge planned for the NHRA U.S. Nationals in

the Top Fuel Dragster driven by Hillary Will with a special “Support Our Troops And Their
Families” paint scheme. The two say the perfect time to convey such a
message is at the largest drag race of the year in the
Knoll currently sponsors a
dragster driven by Melanie Troxel that honors the War Veterans and the National
League of POW-MIA families. He’s joining Black in this program which supports today’s
military, and says he's the perfect man to partner with.

“Ken Black is one of the
few team owners who get it,” Knoll said. “He knows the importance of our
military personnel and the extreme stress they are under. Not only that, when
you consider their families and their sacrifices, you see the big picture. We
are out here doing what we love at the expense of their sacrifice. This is mine
and Ken’s way of saying, ‘Thank you’ to everyone.”
Black has mutual
admiration for Knoll.
“Evan is responsible for keeping
drag-racing participation up and if it weren’t for him, the car counts at the races would be a lot lower,” Black said. “It’s amazing what he has done
for the sport. He is first class all the way.
“This is a great cause. I’m
glad that I have the opportunity to draw attention to the troops. You have
these brave men and women serving our country and so many people try to turn this
into a political thing. I know the returning soldiers believe in what they are
doing.
“I’m from the Vietnam war
era. There wasn’t a lot of support when our troops came home. That is what
impressed me and how he handled the tribute to the veterans and honoring the
