Following his promise to provide an expensive, lavish prize to the first respondent to correctly identify the source of a quote he included in his AAA Finals coverage, Senior Editor Jon Asher has paid off with two pricey collectibles.

The first is an unused 1973 Car Craft Magazine All-Star Drag Racing Team drinking glass, with the second being a still-sealed-in-plastic “Joe Knows Drag Racing” T-shirt that came from Joe Amato, probably some time in the early 90s.  The estimated value of both items is between $150 and $200.

The quote -- If you focus on what you left behind you will never be able to see what lies ahead – uttered by Chef Gusteau in the Pixar film Ratatouille, elicited far more responses than Asher anticipated.

“That’s my fault,” he admitted.  “I didn’t realize how easy it is to dig these things out of the Internet, so the next time around I’ll try to make it a little tougher.”
