NEOPMA CHAMPION DWAYNE WOLFE TO PILOT NEW CAMARO IN 2015

camaro1Dwayne Wolfe, the 2014 North East Outlaw Pro Mod Association (NEOPMA) champion will be making a major change for 2015. The 2002 Firebird that Dwayne drove to the title will be replaced with a new 68 "Yenko" Camaro built by Andy McCoy Race Cars (AMRC).

Months before the championship was clinched, the Wolfe Racing team began evaluating their plans for 2015 and made the decision to begin the search for a new ride.  The right situation presented itself and the build process began while the team was still battling it out for points.  Now, early into the off-season, the new Camaro rolling chassis is complete and already sitting in the team's shop in Moorefield, WV.

When asked about the change, Dwayne said, "I love the Firebird; I loved driving it and it will always be special to me.  It was our first Pro Mod and we rode it to our first championship in 2014.  But we knew that we reached a point where it was holding us back too much.  It was time to move on."  He continued, "This new Camaro is a dream come true.  It is something that I have always wanted and I can't wait to get into the seat and turn it loose."

The new 68 Camaro will receive the same Jan-Cen Racing Engines / Mike Janis Superchargers powerplant used by Wolfe in 2014.  The team will be working diligently over the next few months to get the new car ready for the track in early 2015 to begin testing for next season.

"We were at a significant aerodynamic and weight disadvantage with the Firebird, but we won a championship with it anyway.  With the technology in this new Camaro, I expect us to perform at an extremely high level early in the season.  Our work ethic remains the same and our equipment has been upgraded significantly.  Given that, there is no limit to what we can achieve in 2015," stated Matt Wolfe, co-owner and crew chief.

Dwayne and the Wolfe Racing team will focus on defending their NEOPMA championship in 2015. In addition, they will be racing at a few events in the popular Pro Boost category of the PDRA series.
