CompetitionPlus.com has confirmed former IHRA Funny Car champion and S&W Race Cars owner Scott Weney has passed away.

Weney was the son of Walter and Vonda Weney and is survived by wife Candi, sons Rory and Dillon.

Weney had most recently formed S&S Race Promotions with Scotty Richardson and launched the ‘Fun in the Sun’ Race Series.
