2014 NHRA Top Fuel champion Tony Schumacher is scheduled to make an appearance on Wednesday morning's “FOX & FRIENDS” on the FOX News Channel.

During the live broadcast Schumacher will discuss winning his eighth career NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Top Fuel world championship this past season.

2014 NHRA Top Fuel champion Tony Schumacher is scheduled to make an appearance on Wednesday morning's “FOX & FRIENDS” on the FOX News Channel.

During the live broadcast Schumacher will discuss winning a record eighth career NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Top Fuel world championship this past season.
 
If all goes according to schedule, the segment will air during the 6:30 a.m. EST half-hour. The show begins at 6 a.m. and ends at 9 a.m. EST.

During his season-long quest for an eighth title, Schumacher, driver of the U.S. Army  dragster for Don Schumacher Racing, peaked at exacly the right time, winning three of the first four Countdown to the Championship events.
 
That dominating Countdown start was enough to complete Schumacher’s climb back from 12th place to first and extend his NHRA Top Fuel-record championships to eight.

Looking ahead to next season, Schumacher knows he has a tough road ahead as he goes for championship number nine.

“It's going to be harder than this year,” he said. “Repeating a championship is harder than winning one. Try to back it up the next year with this level of people. It is going to be brutal. I mean, if we pull this off, it will be as gratifying. I'm going to enjoy this off season, because I know how hard it's going to be next year. It is going to be the most brutal Top Fuel season we've ever seen.”
