pmra 2Along with these top five, there are several other PMRA teams in contention such as Jason White of Cicero New York, Denis Lachance  of Quebec City Quebec, Alan Martorino of Cobourg Ontario, Gary Mater of Petrolia, Ontario and Bob Nagy of Welland Ontario, all new PMRA drivers for 2014.

One cannot dismiss several others, including Paolo Giust of Osgoode Ontario, Rob Atchison of London Ontario, Toronto’s Sam Andreacchi.

Winning this event in 2013 was PMRA racer Eric Latino of Port Perry Ontario.

This year’s IHRA race at Grand Bend promises to be one of the best, with racing in four nitromethane classes, the return of the Pro Stock class, a large jet car contingent, and a special treat with drag racing icon Don Garlits as the event’s Grand Marshal. “Big Daddy” will be on hand to sign autographs and display one of his iconic “Swamp Rat” dragsters.
