Evan Jones has been named Sales & Marketing Coordinator for Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. His new role will encompass group ticket sales, group hospitality sales, overseeing the operation of corporate suites, coordinating and fulfilling all corporate contracts. Evan also will develop marketing and promotional campaigns surrounding the busy Maple Grove Raceway schedule.

Jones – a Virginia native raised in Pennsylvania – is a veteran journalist, having worked for newspapers in North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania (including the Reading Eagle) from 1991 to 2009. Jones has worked for Maple Grove Raceway since 2009 as Director of Communications.

BISCI NAMED COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

John Bisci, a 25-year veteran of motorsports public relations, has been named Director of Communications for Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. Bisci comes to Maple Grove Raceway after serving as Public Relations Manager at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for more than 13 years. Bisci will lead Maple Grove Raceway’s corporate communications, media relations and public relations efforts and will report directly to Vice President and General Manager Lex Dudas.

Prior to serving as Public Relations Manager for Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Bisci spent six years working as a media specialist for NASCAR teams and sponsors. Bisci launched his motorsports media career in 1988 and served as public relations director for three short tracks in the Northeast.

“John and I were part of the original team Richie Clyne assembled to construct Las Vegas Motor Speedway back in 1995,” said Dudas. “Having worked with John at LVMS I knew what a great P.R. person he is. John desires to learn every aspect of operating a national event facility and we’re proud to have him join our team to not only fill the critical role of Director of Communications, but we look forward to him becoming a key member of our team in producing events at Maple Grove.”

Maple Grove Raceway’s 2014 season will open April 5-6 with its annual spring swap meet. Drag racing begins on Saturday, April 12, with grudge racing and a Test ‘n’ Tune session. Maple Grove Raceway’s NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national event will take place on Oct. 2-5.
