GALOTGalot Motorsports has added a fourth car to its fleet; the new 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 was purpose-built to compete in the NHRA Pro Mod class.

The beautifully sleek, black '67 will join the rest of the Galot Motorsports team as they compete around the country at nationally-sanctioned events.

Larry Jeffers of Jeffers Pro Cars in House Springs, MO was enlisted to build the car and chassis. Jeffers is known for having built some of the fastest race cars in the world, including the first legal Pro Mod to break into the 5s as well as Todd "King Tut" Tutterow's previous GT500 with which he accomplished many achievements and scored multiple podium finishes.

Powered by a blown Brad Anderson Enterprises 526CI motor, the new Galot GT500 is poised to be a seriously powerful contender. BAE has a longstanding history of producing some of the most highly respected engines in racing, and was selected to provide the powerplant for this project due to the past success from having supplied two of Galot's motors: one in Tutterow's previous GT500 as well as in Kevin Rivenbark's highly successful Pro Mod Firebird.

After having made its debut at Mike Hill's Battle of the Big Dawgs race at Carolina Dragway in October, and put down several runs at the NHRA season finale event in Las Vegas, NV, the Galot team plans to campaign the new GT500 in the NHRA Pro Mod class for the 2014 season.
