All 43 starters in Sunday’s NASCAR Nextel Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway took home more than the combined Top Fuel and Funny Car winner’s purses at the NHRA Summitracing.com Nationals.  The smallest amount won in Texas was Kenny Wallace’s $80,865 for coming home 42nd, with Jeff Burton taking the top prize of $526,766.  At the same time four finishers in the Busch Series support race also earned more than either the T/F or F/C winners in Las Vegas, with winner Matt Kenseth receiving a check in the amount of $73,425.  In Glitter Gulch the only one to take home more than the winner’s purse was Tony Bartone, who won $49,000 shooting craps.
