ATCO'S DOOR SLAMMER NATIONALS COMING UP

The second annual  Door Slammer Nationals sponsored by Robs Towing & LRA Dyno Center & Speed Shop will take place at Atco Raceway on Sunday October 21st.  Hundreds of top bulb and bottom bulb racers from the Northeast are expected to pack the pits at the famed New Jersey drag strip.

The top bulb racers will be going for $5,000 while the runner up will take home $2,000.  Entry fee is $130 and the buyback will be $80.  Money will start with 3rd round loser and will pay $75 per round.

Bottom bulb racers will be battling out for $2,500 and the runner up will receive $1,000.  Entry fee for the bottom bulb race is $80 and the buyback will be $45.  Money will start with 3rd round loser and will payout $50 per round.  

Assistant Manager Brian Sway stated, “The fans really enjoy watching fast door cars go down side by side all day long and it’s an opportunity for the racers to take home some big money.”

The gates will open at 8:00 AM with the racing action starting at 10:00 AM.  Entry fee for spectators and crew will be $15, juniors 12-15 $10, kids 7-11 only $1 and 6 & under are free.  

Atco Raceway was built in 1960 and is the oldest continuously operated drag strip in the state of New Jersey.  For the 2012 year the racetrack will host over 200 events.
